DIRECTIONS TO THE BREWERY

We're tucked away in the woods on the North side of Highway 70. Look for a dirt driveway about 1,000 feet East of the 70/89 junction in Blairsden.
From Reno
Head North toward Susanville on US-395 for 23.8 miles. Take the CA-70 ramp to Portola/Quincy exit and turn left onto CA-70 West. The brewery will be on your right in 32.4 miles.
From Quincy
Take CA-70 East for 23.5 miles. The brewery will be on the left, just after the turnoff for Graeagle/Highway 89.
From Truckee
Take CA-89 North about 45 miles until you dead end into CA-70. Take a right and the brewery will be on your left in just under a mile.

Drinking at the Brewery

Picture
We're always mixing things up at the brewery so we can't promise what types of beers we'll have on tap. The best way to sample all of our beers is on the Trail of Tastes. During this self-guided tour of the brewery, you have the option of learning all about the brewing process—from mixing water with the crushed barley into the mash-tun to dry hopping in the fermentation vessel to the addition of the final carbonation level in the brite beer tank. You'll receive a flight of all the beers we currently have on tap (4-ounce beers) and be able to note which flavors and tastes you prefer.

The Brewing Lair is open to allowing non-alcoholic drinks and wine for the non-beer drinkers in your group. However, we are NOT open to allowing other beer—please do not bring commercial bottled beer to The Brewing Lair. Feel free to bring us a home brew to try or share.

Eating at the Brewery

The meadow is a great place to enjoy a picnic or have a BBQ while at the brewery. The Brewing Lair has three charcoal BBQ’s available on a first-come first-serve basis. We do not provide briquettes but often there are some leftover or donated. The Ricochet Food Truck is open during the summer.

We ask you to please clean up after yourself and do not leave food leftovers on tables or in the BBQ area as it will attract wasps.

Activities at the Brewery

We love where we live and work and invite you to explore the beautiful area surrounding our Lair. In addition to our 9-hole disc golf course, we have a slack line and corn hole and encourage guests to bring any other activities and games. And we recently added a stage in the meadow for live music!

We also love dogs so bring your furry friends along for a romp in the woods! Please note, we require dogs to be on leash at all times.
Disc Golf
We have a 9-hole disc golf course on 15 acres of forested land. The course is open during business hours.

Check out some photos from our disc golf course >
Camping
We do not allowing camping at the brewery but there are some great options nearby. Plumas Eureka State Park is the closest. Here's some info on additional nearby camping options:
  • Portola and Sierra Valley
  • Graeagle and Cromberg
  • Lakes Basin
